Barbarians vs Argentina rugby’s most famous invitational side at Twickenham this weekend.

It will be just the third time the Baa-Baas have taken on Los Pumas in their 128-year history.

Argentina were beaten 34-22 at Cardiff 1990 but won the 2015 rematch 49-31. Lood de Jager is the sole survivor from the Baa-Baas side that day.

New Zealand prop Wyatt Crockett will captain the Barbarians in Saturday’s Killik Cup clash at Twickenham.

Crockett leads a side that features eight South African internationals, including current Springboks fly-half Handre Pollard and former Saracens hooker Schalk Brits.

There is a place for Argentina’s Juan Manuel Leguizamon, who lines up in the back row with Siya Kolisi and Pieter-Steph Du Toit against his fellow countrymen.

Chiefs full-back Jack Debreczeni is the Baa-Baas’ traditional uncapped player.

Argentina head coach Mario Ledesma has made 10 changes to his starting team.

Following the Autumn International loss to Scotland, Juan Pablo Zeiss, Julian Montoya, Matias Alemanno and Tomas Lezana come into the pack instead of Santiago Garcia Botta, Agustin Creevy, Tomas Lavanini and Javier Ortega Desio.

In the backs, only Ramiro Moyano remains, with Bautista Ezcurra, Matias Orlando, Sebastian Cancelliere and Juan Cruz Mallia called up. It will be Mallia’s first start having come off the bench in his other four caps.

Argentina won two out of six Tests in the Rugby Championship and suffered three defeats in three tour matches this November. However, South Africa were one of the teams they beat in the Rugby Championship and this Barbarians side is chock-full of Springboks.
